A Note from Mrs. Richardson

As you know, we've started a new reading program, Reading Plus. The program individualizes reading content to meet the needs of your child. Students will be working on iPads almost daily to use this program. We are in need of headphones or earbuds so that each student can hear his or her specific activity. The next time you are out in town, swing by Dollar Tree or any other location and pick up a pair of headphones for your student. I mention Dollar Tree specifically because I went by to see what they had available. You can purchase a pair from there for $1. Walmart and Dollar General also have some available but the prices are a little more than $1 per pair. We just need something inexpensive that will stand up to your child's daily use and would be easily replaced. I would rather not have expensive headphones, as thing do sometimes get taken without my knowledge.

Earbuds would work best.

Your child will be keeping these in his/her book bag. He or she will be the only one using them. You may store them in a zip top sandwich bag labeled with your child's name.

We are taking the Reading SLO test on Monday and Social Studies on Thursday. We will be training on the Reading Plus program each day we aren't testing. So basically, we will need the headphones beginning on Tuesday. However, we will make do with the volumes turned down to lower settings.
