About Mr. Gregory

Hello!  My name is Chuck Gregory.  I am the Special Ed teacher who will be supporting 3rd grade this coming school year.  I am very excited about the year by getting to know the students and sharing in the excitement of learning.

I am originally from Atlanta, GA. My wife, Gwen, is a counselor at LaFayette High School.  We have been blessed with a son Matt who is a physical therapist, his wife Jessica who is a speech language pathologist and our beautiful grandson Tate.  We are also very excited about the birth of our new granddaughter Cora.  Our two cats, Athena and Ami, enjoy the good life with their cat attitudes.

We enjoy hiking, biking and college football and have been able to travel and see some neat places in the United States like Niagara Falls, the Rocky Mountains and Mt. Rushmore.  We enjoy adventure and learning and have hiked the Grand Canyon, watched two Space Shuttle launches and toured a nuclear powered submarine. Our weekends in the fall include the University of Georgia football games in Athens, GA.

This will be my 11th year of teaching in Special Ed.  I was at North LaFayette Elementary for eight years and this will be my third year at Gilbert Elementary.  I attended the University of West Georgia where I received my BBA in Management in 1981.  I became certified in Special Education through the University of Georgia in 2004.

I look forward to a great school year!

Mr. G., Mrs. Gregory, Jessica, and Matt
