Hey everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We have a lot in store for this week. On Friday, first grade will celebrate Harvest Day! Students are encouraged to wear your country or farm attire. Think jeans, overalls, plaid or flannel shirts, straw hats, etc. We will celebrate by doing a grade level rotation. Each class will rotate to each first grade classroom for a special activity or art project. If you can help on Friday, please let me know.
With Halloween on Friday, several parents have asked about doing treat bags for our class. You are welcome to do so if you would like. However, you are NOT required to provide treat bags.
We would like to have a special snack around 11:45. I will need your help in providing treats for students. I will send home a separate note on Tuesday with more specific information.

Important Reminders
- We have P.E. on Monday and Wednesday. Be sure to wear tennis shoes on these days!
- Be sure to initial behavior and homework sheets each night. Remember to read your AR book as part of your homework. STUDY MATH FACTS!
- Send in Box Tops and Campbell's Soup labels. We would love to win this month's competition.
- Author, Michael Finklea, will visit Gilbert on Tuesday, October 28th. Order forms for his books were sent home last week.
- Fundraiser money is due on October 29. Please return all orders and money to school by this deadline.
